Marjorie Ann Testerman

May 23, 1937 – November 26, 2020

Gentle      Caregiver      Warrior

Honoring a Life of Love, Family, Caring, Contribution, Courage, & Strength

Marjorie lived in Rockville, Maryland for many years with her husband Joe Testerman. In the home, she was also a caregiver to her husband’s Mother, Inez Bladen Testerman, and looked after the household which included Joe’s two bachelor brothers, Cecil Testerman and Dan Testerman.  There was a feeling of a down-to-earth, loyal family when you visited their house.  You were always welcome. and they were simply hard working and good people. Marjorie worked in a nursing home as an occupation and continued to take care of others.  There were always family pets to see…two beautiful German Shepherds and a talking parrot, as she loved animals.  Aunt Margie would get him to talk for us “Pretty boy, pretty boy”.

A Life of Simple Joys

Marjorie and her husband Joe retired to Hagerstown, Maryland, enjoying a simple lifestyle in a nice home on a quiet street.  She still had her parrot companion and many more dogs.  She would do pet sitting for neighbors regularly…now caring for her husband and their own numerous animals.

A Warrior

After her husband passed, she continued to live in Hagerstown with her pets and neighbor friends.  She was used to having Joe by her side always and she was brave in her new found circumstances.  She lived a modest life of satisfaction and would always say she didn’t need anything.

She was petite in size and had a calm demeanor, but had a warrior strength to beat the odds with her longevity. Marjorie had started to live in a nursing facility in Hagerstown, Maryland and always tried to help the residents there, since she had worked in nursing care so long and it came so naturally to her.  In more recent years she has come through different illnesses to again give her unique grin, a laugh, and a raise of her eyebrows – a regular gesture when she was thinking and listening.  She liked to go to music, go for walks and see people, and watch Hallmark movies and The Andy Griffith Show.  We had fun even though she had challenges…Yes, A Warrior.

Marjorie is Remembered and Honored for being a beloved Wife, Sister-in-law, Daughter-in-law, Aunt, and Caregiver of family and others.  She has been loved, is loved now, and will be missed and Forever in Our Hearts…

Her New Beginning

Now she is soaring, free like a bird, with no health issues or worries.  Reborn, happy in Heaven, with her husband Joe, and family that went before her.  They are reunited.  Very sure she is grinning, she is happy, and will be an Angel to Animals.  She would tell us to value our family, work hard, endure, and keep smiling.

A Warrior      In God’s Care      At Peace
