Obituary of Bobby King Murugu
Bobby King Maingi “Kiriinya” Murugu was born, May 11, 1990 at Nairobi Hospital in Nairobi Kenya. He was the second child and only doting son of Kathleen Murugu. Bobby was a doting brother to his big sister Gwendolyn Murugu and his little sister Makena Murugu.
Bobby began his early education at Forest Edge Elementary School, VA. He went on to attend Massanutten Military Academy in the Shenandoah Valley, VA. He later transferred his education overseas to Maxwell Academy in Ngong, Kenya, where he graduated from high school. He attended the University of Virginia and then transferred to George Mason University in Virginia.
Bobby was such an outgoing person who was well loved by his family and his large circle of friends. He was so charming, charismatic, funny, honest, so respectful, and was not one to hesitate to say I love you over and over again. He was extraordinarily generous and would give the shirt on his back to anyone in need. He could make friends anywhere and with anybody and never felt shy to approach anyone. He always wanted to improve the community and always thought of ways to help others.
Bobby will be well remembered and sorely missed by his beloved family here in the US, Kenya, and all over the world. He will be especially missed by his doting Mom Kathy, his sisters Gwen and Makena, his beloved Grandma Ntaagus, his large extended family and his wide circle of many friends across the world.
Rest in eternal peace with the angels our dearest Bo, until we meet again.
