Dolores Eleanor Hanley, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away on Dec. 13, 2020 in Myrtle Beach, SC at the age of 89. She was the daughter of John and Stella Bertulis (both deceased) and the wife of Thomas L. Hanley (deceased).

Mrs. Hanley was a loving and devoted wife and mother. She was a courageous and persevering Army spouse who held her large family together through the stress and adventures of military life. She was an expert at creating a warm family home. Mrs. Hanley enjoyed cooking and travel. She was also a talented organist. She will always be an inspiration and example of fortitude to her family and those who knew her.

Mrs. Hanley is survived by her children, Kathleen Dempsey (Robert), Timothy Hanley (Deborah), Matthew Hanley (Maryann), Susan Hanley (Michael Brennan) and Julia Gonsalves (Steven).  Her much loved son, Thomas M. Hanley, predeceased her. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held at the Adams-Green Funeral Home in Herndon, VA on January 8, 2021 at 11 AM. She will be laid to rest at the Andrew Chapel Cemetery in Vienna, VA. The Funeral Service and Internment are open only to family due to COVID-19. However, a virtual link to the Funeral Service will be provided to those who cannot attend.
