Obituary of Eileen Frances Friganza

Eileen Frances Friganza passed away peacefully on December 27, 2020 in Ashburn, Virginia, surrounded by her loving family.  She was born in New York City on April 25, 1947, the fourth child of Edward and Florence Walsh.  She shared a long and loving marriage with William Friganza until his death in 2011.  She is survived by two sisters and a brother and six nieces and nephews.  

Eileen graduated from Queens College in New York City and had a highly successful career as a paralegal for a Fortune 500 energy company until her retirement in 2015.  She was devoted to her family and a caring, loyal friend to so many, all of whom admired her sunny outlook, kind spirit, and beautiful smile.  She deeply touched the lives of so many with her kindness and generous heart, a uniquely special person.  She shared her kindness with her well-known love of animals, rescuing so many throughout her lifetime.  Her life was filled with joy, which she generously shared with her family, friends, and colleagues.  She loved to dine out, listen to music and dance, and always, to laugh with those she loved.  We will remember and miss her forever.
