I am your cousin, daughter of Lottie Dolan. I have a very special memory of your mother. She came to Florida and taught my mother how to care for my very ill father. I remember her teaching my mother, who was 33 year old with 6 children, how to give shots at the kitchen table. She also did tons of laundry along with Aunt Genna, they were wonderful. I was 8 then, but I can only imagine what comfort they provided my mother. Your mother was a wonderful person. God bless you in your grief, your mother lived a remarkable life and I hope you find solace in that knowledge,

My first memories of Aunt Elizabeth was during the first week of December 1963. We were in Washington to visit Uncle Eddie who had arranged a tour of the White House. He introduced us to "Elizabeth" who to my eleven year old eyes appeared very official in her Dress Navy Whites. She took us on a private tour of the White House which in retrospect was quite remarkable since President Kennedy had only recently been assassinated in Texas. I still have vivid memories of the different colored rooms in the house and of the President's swimming trunks still on a rack in the White House pool area. In 1975 I had the pleasure of meeting "Aunt Elizabeth" again along with my two new cousins Christopher and Matt when I visited them in Virginia--she was a gracious hosts as always with a wonderful smile. My last meeting with her was a more somber affair as we attended the funeral of my Aunt Mary. She was older then with a hint of sadness in her eyes but had the same gracious smile that I had remembered from all those years ago. My deepest condolences to her family for your loss. Your mother touched people in ways that she probably never fully appreciated---She will be greatly missed.

I am thankful that I had gotten to know Elizabeth when she was here at Harmony at Chantilly. She was kind lady and very pleasant. She also a friendly smile. We missed when she left and had been thinking about her. My prayers go out to the family, and may God comfort you with His loving presence.

I will always remember Aunt Elizabeth and Uncle Eddie coming to visit us when we were children. We were all so excited awaiting their arrival and we always had such fun. I was always excited to see what Aunt Elizabeth wore, as she was always so stylish and sophisticated. I cherish the memories of them both

I have many happy memories of Aunt Elizabeth visiting us in Merrick. She was always so elegant with a quick sense of humor. Fond memories of her love and hospitality when Nelson and I visited Paris on our honeymoon. May you rest in peace. Warmly, Mary A.
