My dear sweet Erin. We had so many laughs through middle school thru high school and college and so on. I miss her so much. I wish I could talk to her one more time and hear her laugh and see her gorgeous smiles. She taught me so much and I will always hold a piece of her in my heart. So many treasurable memories are shared on this Tribute Wall and they all complement the wonderful picture we have of Erin.
Our family first met Erin and Veto in summer 2018 when the two of them moved to Stuttgart, Germany, and we loved both at first sight. In the beginning, we were somewhat concerned that Erin would feel lonesome in their new home. But by getting to know her closer, her lively and serene character showed us, that these concerns were unnecessary. Instead, she was the one who helped us; her patience with our rather modest knowledge of the English language, her intuitive complementation of our halting, bumpy sentences or just simply her home-made cookies that were a true delight.
She was such a humorous, life-loving and positive person and she always turned her heart to the people she met.
We are shocked and speechless by her loss and our thoughts are with Veto and Erin’s entire family.

Erin with Grandma. Grandma passed away 9 hours and 10 minutes before Erin. There is something divine at work with this. God brought Grandma home to welcome Erin into heaven. I love this picture and Erins comments about it. They had a special connection and an appreciation for each other’s with and humor. They are in paradise together watching over us.

Veto, Joan, Bruce, Holly, Marc, Burke and all of Erin's family and friends, we cannot imagine the grief you are experiencing, we send our deepest sympathies to all of you.
While we have spent a bit of time with Erin on trips to Vienna over the past number of years, including Veto and Erin's beautiful wedding, it is remembering time of when she was small that we have been reflecting on and have brought smiles to our faces.
When Erin and Holly were meeting all of their new extended family, taking in so many faces and learning their names, we still smile when we think of them both calling their Uncle, "Aunt Nadine".
From all of the stories shared we have come to know Erin so much more and her love and light will be missed by so many.

If there was anything certain about Erin, it is that she was unafraid to make a mistake. She was in a hurry to be in the mix and be a part of our family, listening and learning along the way. I love this story of Uncle Bill being called Aunt Nadine. Classic Erin.

I will forever remember my aunt Erin for her vibrant personality that lit up the room. Some of my fondest childhood memories were with Erin - she took care of me as a child and I admired her as I grew older. She always took me to get my “first day of school outfits”, asked me 20 questions about my life, gave the tightest hugs, and just overall made me feel so loved. I am thankful for all the memories I was able to make with her and I will miss her more than I can describe. ❤️

Erin and Holly were an amazing gift to our family and we will forever cherish the Blackman family visits each summer to Nova Scotia. The girls loved it there and we loved having them. It was a highlight of every summer. Such a tremendous loss to our family. Our hearts break for Aunt Joan and Uncle Bruce, Holly, Marc, Burke, Veto, all the kids. God bless.

Deepest condolences to Veto and Erin's family. I pray God's peace will guide you and comfort you in this difficult journey you will navigate. I am truly blessed to have met Erin in Germany. She was a special blessing during our time there and I had the privilege of sharing some fun adventures with her from pumpkin patches, to making the perfect chocolate chip cookie. I will remember fondly our girls trip to Prague and sharing authentic Mexican food in Europe of all places. She was thrilled to speak with chef and use her Spanish, it was awesome. Our crazy road trip to Poland for pottery and driving to and fro trying to find the perfect pattern. Our family was blessed to meet up with Veto and Erin in Lake Como for dinner - fun, fun memories! Thank you God for the gift of Erin, her sweet heart, her optimism in all things, and her great humor. I am blessed to have had the opportunity to have met Erin and she will be dearly missed.

There are not words to adequately describe our daughter, Erin. She was beautiful inside and out. She loved her life with Veto and their travels. She loved this big family she belonged to. Erin lit up every room she walked into. I know that’s a saying often used to describe those who have passed, but it couldn’t be more true with Erin. She had a loud laugh, a warm embrace and a huge heart.
When I was 19, Erin took me to NYC for a girls weekend. It was a blast; I remember her running around Times Square with us at midnight, showing us the very best time while also taking excellent care of her younger cousins. It’s a memory I’ve always reflected on fondly, but I will cherish it now more than ever.
Over the last few years, I’ve felt a special bond with Erin. While going through my own personal trials, Erin was there for me. She often provided me with comforting words and reassurance that I wasn’t alone in my hardships. She reminded me often that the struggles would make me stronger and that no matter what, I would make it through. She encouraged me to be brave and to never give up on the things I wanted most. I already miss her presence so much.
They say that you should “be the things you loved most about the people who are gone”. In memory of my cousin Erin, I will strive to be more adventurous, more enthusiastic and more generous. I love you so much, Erin. Rest in pease.
