Obituary of Ivan Reynold Duncan

Ivan R Duncan, 37, of Herndon, VA passed away on January 25 after a short illness.

He was born on March 14, 1983 to Reynold and Beatrix Duncan in Blantyre, Malawi and relocated to US at the age of 15 in 1998. After graduating from Marshall High School in 2001, he studied Parks and Recreation at Northern Virginia Community College and Business Administration at Strayer University. He worked as Student Advisor at Strayer and in various Marketing jobs in Virginia, Indiana, Michigan and Colorado. At the time of his passing, Ivan was preparing to return to Malawi.

As a result of his generous spirit and outgoing personality, Ivan was loved by many and had many friends. He especially loved children, and shared much quality time with his only niece, 11-year-old Jacey. He will be sorely missed by Jacey, his parents, only sibling – Irving, and many family members and friends all over the world.

A cremation service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, January 30, at Adams-Green Funeral Home, 721 Elden Street, Herndon, Virginia 20170.  Interment of ashes will take place at a later date in Blantyre Malawi.
