Obituary of Barbara Thompson Ladd

Barbara (Thompson) Ladd, surrounded by family, passed away at her home in Chantilly, VA, on March 9, 2021.
She was born on September 10, 1929, in Barre, Vermont, to Leonard and Thelma (Benzie) Thompson of East Corinth, Vermont. Barbara was a long-time resident of Norwich, Vermont, and moved to Wooster, Ohio, in 2005 and Chantilly, Virginia, in 2020.
Barbara is survived by her daughter Brenda (Robert) Ajtaji of Chantilly, VA; a granddaughter, Kimberly (Nathan) Stewart of Sterling, VA; grandson, Adam (Phavaly) Ajtaji of Chantilly, VA; three great grandchildren (Harper, Carter and Piper Ajtaji) of Chantilly, VA; siblings Norman Thompson of Colchester, VT, and Joan Brainerd of East Corinth, VT; brother-in-law John Ladd of Colchester, VT; sister-in-law Rose Bender of Carbondale, IL; and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband (Robert) in 2015; Brother Kenneth Thompson; Brothers-in-Law Harry Brainerd; Paul and Carl Ladd; Sisters-in-laws Louise Thompson, Margaret Thompson, Janet Ladd and Dorothy Ladd; niece Jennifer Russo; nephews Ethan Thurston and Loren Ladd
Arrangements are being handled by Adams-Green Funeral Home, Herndon, VA. There will be no viewing and a private graveside service will be scheduled in Vermont at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your local Hospice Care Facility, or to a charity of your choice.
