Obituary of Columba Bridgit Brumby

Columba Brumby, known to many family and friends as “Q”, passed away peacefully in INOVA Fairfax hospital in the care of her loving daughter-in-law and niece. Predeceased by her beloved husband Paul, and brothers Fr. Brendan (the Wirral, England) and Gary (Dublin). Very sadly missed and dearly loved by her sister Fin (Ballinrobe), brother-in-law Rory, sister-in-law Mona, stepchildren Lynn and Ruth, daughter-in-law Janet, her step-grandchildren Brian, Brittany, William, Brooke, Brad, Drew, Lauren, Christina, Lisa, and her nieces and nephews Lorcan, Auveen, Fergal, Edel, Rory, Clare, Jenny, Gerry, and Moira, her grand-nieces and nephews, the Irish community and her beloved amateur dramatics friends, as well as a wide circle of relatives and friends.

Rest in Peace.

A memorial mass will be held on Tuesday April 27 at 11 am in St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 1020 Springvale Road, Great Falls, VA 22066.

The burial and a memorial mass will be in Ballinrobe, Co. Mayo, Ireland, later this year.
