I knew Bill from the Herndon Community Center, and will miss him very much. He was such a nice man that would always try and makes us laugh with one of his quick witty sayings. It always brought a smile to us seeing him, he was always here like clock work. Over the years it was very hard to walk down the hall to get into the pool but he didn't let that hold him back. I asked him why he doesn't carry a cane to keep him from falling and he replied "the cane is in the car," I offered to get it for him but he refused and took my arm inside and whenever he came I made sure to help him to the pool. I was privileged and honored to know Bill and I hold a special place in my heart for him!

My Uncle Bill was an amazing man. I was closest to him when I was growing up. I believe the first time ai met him, he gave me a beautiful silk jacket from Korea with a dragon on it. No one else had one like it. He would visit us in Rockville and often would make kites from scratch that we would fly. There are many funny stories about my Uncle Bill. And, even he would laugh about them. I always recognized that he was a very smart, ambitious, creative man who worked very hard. His story about coming to this country is a great American story. I last saw him a couple years ago at my Dad’s 100th birthday. Bill was the same old Bill and it was so wonderful to see him again after so many years having passed. I learned for the first time that he had shrapnel wounds from his military service. I will miss him indeed. My deepest condolences to his family.
