Obituary of Judy Mason

Please share a memory of Judy to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Judith (Judy) Lee Mason, 78, of Sterling, Virginia, passed away peacefully in her home on July 26th, 2021, surrounded by loved ones, after a short battle with colon cancer.

Judy was born on April 19th, 1943 to Russell and Marion Ramsey in the bustling city of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. After Judy graduated from high school, she married William (Bill) Mason on December 26th, 1964. After the two married they moved to Omaha, Nebraska to start their life as an Air Force family. Judy and Bill went on to have two children, William (Bill) and Jeffrey (Jeff) Mason.

Judy was predeceased by her father Russell Ramsey, her sister Carol Sciullo, and her mother Marion Ramsey. She is survived by her husband Bill and their dog Maxie, her first born Bill and his wife Christine and their three children, Andrew, Robert and Kaitlyn, her second born Jeff and his wife Cheryl and their three children Makayla, Toby and Bryce, and her three great grandchildren Maverick, Mia and Levi along with and many nieces and nephews.

Judy loved her family with every fiber in her body. She loved boldly and loudly, never having a problem telling her family how much she loved them. She was so proud of everyone's accomplishments and would always brag about her family to anyone and everyone who would listen. Judy would sit there day after day and pray for everyone in her life to have the best outcome for whatever life was handing to them. When people came over to the house to swim, Judy was out there on the deck making sure everyone was having a good time. On top of making sure everyone was having fun, she was making sure that everyone was fed. Judy would always make grilled cheese sandwiches, and everyone loved them calling them “the best grilled cheese”, even to this day. Anyone who met her instantly fell in love with her because of the love and light she emitted. Judy was never one to sit back and bite her tongue. If she had something to say, she was going to say it loud and clear. Judy loved to spoil her family, from all the love she had to give, to candy from the Dollar Tree all the way to things from QVC. She was the gift giving queen that kept on giving. Judy was the best wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and great-grandmother anyone could have.
