Obituary of Linda Darlene Higgins

Linda Darlene Higgins, 68, of Augusta, WV passed away on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 with her family by her side at Hampshire Center, Romney, WV after a long illness.

Born on April 12, 1953 in Lexington, VA, she was the daughter of Henry Morton Higgins and Lula Mae West Higgins.

Linda loved working outside and taking care of cats and animals.  She loved building things, anywhere from a birdhouse to a house.  She enjoyed telling stories of when she worked as a deputy for Loudon County.

She is survived by her sisters, Shelby Gordan (Larry) of Sterling, VA, Charlene Robinson (Curt) of Augusta, WV, Kathy Puffinburger (Greg) of Winchester, VA, Faye Brooks (Henry) of Sterling, VA, Cindy Richards (Kent), of Bunker Hill, WV, Sandy Chong (Hilton) of Newport News, VA, brother, Steve Higgins (Leslie) of Herndon, VA, John Higgins (Walter) of Pikesville, MD, numerous nieces and nephews, and long time friend, Denise Lambert (Mike) of Augusta, WV.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 13, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Green Funeral Home, Herndon, VA.  The family will receive friends 12:00 P.M. until time of service. Private interment will be in Chestnut Grove Cemetery, Herndon, VA at a later date.
