Obituary of Senga Margaret Merry Reid

Senga Margaret Merry Reid, 87, of Ashburn, Virginia died on September 8, 2021. 

Mrs. Reid will be interred in Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery in Bluemont, Virginia on September 18 at 10:00 a.m.

Born in Glasgow, Scotland on September 29, 1933, she was the daughter of 

Harold Smith and Agnes Dixon Smith.  Mrs. Reid was a graduate of the Glasgow College of Commerce.  She worked for the Dynamac Corporation and Computer Science Corporation and volunteered for the Wolftrap Center for the Performing Arts and the White House Greetings Office.  Mrs. Reid loved to play tennis, golf, and sail.  She was active with the Saint Andrew’s Society of Washington, DC and Westwood Country Club.

Mrs. Reid is preceded in death by her husband of 27 years, James W. Reid. 

Senga will be remembered for her love of all things Scottish, wonderful sense of humor, and her talent for finding the joy in life.
