Obituary of John Arthur Saunders

John Arthur Patrick Saunders age 55 much loved son of Robert and Johanna Saunders, brother to Heidi Rogers (Jefferey), Frederick Saunders (Ana), Gretchen MacMillan (Jay) and Katrine Farrar (Loren), Uncle to Scott, Matt, Kate, Jake, Cole, Shane, Grace, Wade, Myles and Henry.  John was born on St. Patrick’s Day 1966 in Morgantown, West Virginia and died September 16 in Reston Virginia    He graduated from South Lakes High School in 1984 and from the University of Virginia McIntire School of Commerce in1988, earning majors in Finance and Management Information Systems.   He was employed as a senior /chief real-estate lender with Colombia Bank (now Wells Fargo) Allied Capitol Commercial Corporation, Community Bank of Northern Virginia (now PNC Bank), Alliance Bank (now Washington First Bank and Virginia Heritage Bank (now Eagle Bank).  As one of his employees claimed he was a ‘Rocket Star’ of lending.

He enjoyed golfing, running and was a keen sports fan.  Get togethers made him happy and the solitude of the Pandemic was unwelcomed, as he liked a crowd and a party.  His companion Pepper a golden doodle helped him through some of this period, but it was not enough.
