Obituary of Vinaya Kumar Shukla
Vinaya Kumar Shukla, 83, from Allahabad (India), passed away on October 3rd, 2021 at Virginia, USA.
Born on 22nd August, 1938 in the holy city of Varanasi, he was the son of late Shri Kailash Nath Shukla and late Smt. Manorama Shukla. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his elder brother Late Shri Susheel Kumar Shukla in 2020.
Vinaya Kumar Shukla had a post-graduate degree in Commerce (MCOM), a Law degree from Kanpur University and was a Chartered Accountant (CA). He worked his entire life at Allahabad Bank (for almost 40 years) and as part of his job, he had the privilege of working at a number of cities and towns in India, notably Raebareli, Kanpur, Bareilly, Dimapur, Jamshedpur, Patna, Katrasgarh, Dhanbad, Guwahati, Bahraich and Varanasi. He retired from Allahabad Bank as Chief Manager in New Delhi and settled in Noida, UP.
He was known for his voluntary work in the community and was chosen as the Secretary of Rotary Club of Dimapur (Nagaland) and also with the Lions club at Dhanbad. Post retirement, he was a founding and active member of Kendriya Vihar Home Owners Association, Sector 51, Noida and contributed in the opening of the Hindu temple, co-operative store and a bank within the apartment premises.
He was active in sports and participated in many badminton championships and played at the state level in Uttar Pradesh. He was also active in the game of Cricket and was known for his batting and leg spin bowling.
He is survived by Mrs. Mamta Shukla, his wife for over 56 years and his two sons – Vimal and Vikram, daughter Anjana, daughters-in-law Niti and Tuhin, Son-in-law Sameep and grandchildren Vrinda, Suchita, Varija, Anvita, Saksham and Samidha.
The family will receive friends starting at 1:00 PM on 6th day of October, 2021 at Adams-Green Funeral Home with services officiated by Shastri Omkar Sharma
