We met by chance but nurtured a friendship for over 50 years. A friendship based on trust, mutual respect, shared experiences, love of family, feisty mothers, younger brothers and a bounty of nieces and nephews. We shared personal challenges and successes. She is simply irreplaceable. To Toni, Dwight and the “boys” I send my love and condolences.

I met Diane when we worked on the AT technical training program modernization in the mid 80’s. She was very confident in her abilities and understanding of ATC. I especially remember her smile no matter what the circumstances. Although it has been many years since that time, she was unforgettable. My sincere condolences go to Diane’s family.

When DCA FSS was being relocated to Leesburg, Diane was the first person I met at ZDC. She gave me information about local living conditions and where I might choose to relocate my family. It was good and helpful advice at the time. Many years later we were both working at FAA HQ and would see each other occasionally. She always had a smile and a positive attitude despite the obstacles others tried to put in front of her. RIP Diane.
