Obituary of Thomas Everett Grisard

THOMAS “Tom” EVERETT GRISARD (Age 80) of Reston, VA, passed away on Thursday, November 11, 2021 after a short illness. His funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2727 Centreville Rd., Oak Hill, VA 20171 with visitation beginning one hour prior to the service. A private interment will follow at a later date.

Born on June 30, 1941, in Washington, DC to Albert and Elizabeth Grisard, Tom spent his childhood in Arlington, VA where he attended Wakefield High School. He attended Vanderbilt University but graduated from Brigham Young University. He met his loving wife, Sondra Boel Grisard, in Washington, DC and they were married in the Mormon Temple in Salt Lake City. They eventually settled in Reston, VA in 1974.

Tom loved simple things in life, coaching his sons when they were young, attending church, breakfast at his favorite local spot, family celebrations and running in races.

He was preceded in death by his wife and leaves behind his sons Brett, Ryan and David Grisard; daughter-in-law Antonia; son-in-law Michael; brother Bert Grisard and grandchildren Austin, Liam, Charlotte, Landon and Katelyn.
