Aunty was one of the kindest people I have known. She was always smiling and doing something for someone else. She loved her children and I have been blessed to know the whole family for more than 20 years. I’ll never forget when they walked into the bank branch when I was just starting my career. They trusted me and treated my like a daughter on that day me for years to come. No matter the time or distance that passes over the years she and uncle are always welcoming. I was so glad I had one more chance to see her before they moved. My thoughts and prayers are with the whole family and know she will be forever watching over everyone. I am no poet or essayist, if I were, I would have said তুমি রবে নীরবে হৃদয়ে মম. I have no words, even tears fall short in expressing the shock from this news and the sadness it brings to me. I have known Indrani mashi as a very loving and caring person, this void will never be filled. I have held her and Dipti mesho with the highest regards for nurturing two gems who we know so well as Diya and Deborshi. My prayers for the Roy family, stay strong !
My mother remembers times shared with mashi, not to forget Indrani mashi’s melodious rendition of আমার পরাণ যাহা চায় at our house on the occasion of Sharbani’s farewell.
She lives on in our minds……
