I’m in shock, I’m heartbroken and full of so many memories. How do I say goodbye to the women who played the biggest role in my life. To the woman who inspired me to want to have children and be like her. To the woman who taught me unconditional love.
I’m so incredibly sorry to all of you as I know you are mourning beyond words.
All I can think about is what an amazing childhood I had and how I owe it all to “mom.”
Day and night of her listening to us laugh, argue, sing at the top of our lungs and dance, while she was trying to watch her shows and play cards in her rocking chair and talk on the phone with her sister, never missing a beat!! Hopping the fence 100’s of times ….Begging for mall trips and then hurrying her up while she tried to “put on her face” riding bikes and making her worry, playing basketball while she prepared 6 course meals that we never helped with, going to bingo and trying to play with her good luck troll dolls just to drive her crazy BAHAHAHAHAHA teasing her about her beanie babies obsession!! Teehee The insane amount of times she had to drive us to taco amigo because we wouldn’t let it go haha The millions of times she had to give advice only for me to do it again and her to hug me and give me advice all over again. Crying to her when she worked at our school and her slipping me an extra burrito with a hug to make my day ok. Bringing boyfriends over for her to tell me if they were good or bad just by looking in their eyes! The millions of times she swore on her lungs that she was never taking us lunatics out in public ever again haha. The thousands of times she kept “dad” from throwing us all out on the street hahaha
I feel honored to know we all have her watching over us but also know she took a piece of all of us with her. I love you all so much. Stay close, stay strong and stay loyal, the way she would want it.
To “mom” I’m so sorry I haven’t been to see you in such a long time but I hope you know that everything you instilled in me, I have carried on with my kids (even the snack cabinet!) You were the mom I needed, the mom I wanted and the mom I will never forget. I will forever be grateful for your laughter, hugs, forgiveness and constant “I love yous.”
Ti amerò sempre ~ Tiffany ….aka the pain in the ass

My recollection of your mom would be every time that we came over to the house without fail your mom would have a crisper in the fridge full of candy bars and I mean full of candy bars
The last thing that a fat boy needs my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family

I met my second mom, Mrs Vitale when I met Angela in High School and everytime I would visited my parents I would tell my mom, I have to see my Italian mom and dad (Joe). Your mom made me felt so welcome. I just loved the energy at the house and it was real and full of love with every conversation and argument. The last time I was home in Virginia I was able to hangout with the family we ended up driving to Berryville and visited Angel at her farm and the story about the farm while driving there... it was a fun time spending time with them and seeing an old school friend and meet there grandson. Your mom will be missed and please to my Vitale brothers and sisters, please be there for your dad and take care of him, Dad Joe. I love you and God bless you in the love of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

My sincerest condolences to Joe and the extended Vitale family during this difficult time. Joe and Lorraine's oldest (Al) was my best friend during high school. In true Italian fashion Lorraine always made feel like part of family which meant that she looked out for me when needed, but also didn't hesitate "correct" me when I stepped too far out of line. Lorraine was always very supportive and involved with her children's activities. I remember towards the end of our senior year, Lorraine "acquired" paint and materials Al and I needed to paint our senior wall on the maintenance building at the school, something the administration wasn't too fond of. When I reflect back on those days I always smile and think about how many movies our families watched at the theater. Joe and Lorraine will always hold a special place in my heart. All my thoughts and prayers to Joe and the rest of the Vitale family.
