This has got to be one of the saddest days of my life. Something told me to call you and when your phone said this is not a good number I began to panic .I had to find out what was going on? I never though I would find out like this. I have so many fond memories of you. Your family and friends were always #1. Rest on My friend. I will never forget you! Wanda

I try to get out and visit family as much as possible when I can especially during the holidays. Christmas 2020 I made holiday cookies and added Uncle Frannie to my list that year. I baked an assortment of homemade cookies and brownies and packages them up to deliver to my Uncle Frannie‘s house in Reston.
He enjoyed those cookies so much that he told my dad to tell me to keep him on my list for next Christmas 2021.
I ended up catching Covid August 2021 along with my sister Kathy and my husband. While we were quarantine I got bored eating soup for the past two weeks, watching TV, blowing my nose constantly, and Sippin hottie toddy‘s to fight the virus. I told Kathy let’s call all of our uncles and tell them it’s “call your uncle day” just to chitchat with them. We thought Uncle Frannie would only talk to us for about two minutes and say goodbye boy were we wrong. He talk to us for about a good 20 minutes or more and shared some stories about his grandchildren, his daughters and his son Franny. He was very proud of them all and we could hear it in his voice. Before we said goodbye and told him we love him; I told him I was going to see him at Christmas with his batch of cinnamon rolls. He said bring them on, I’ll be right here waiting. Little did we know, God had other plans for him. But I have to say that I am very glad I added my Uncle Frannie to my list in 2020 and made that phone call to him in August 2021. Because you never know when you’ll be able to say your last goodbye or I love you.
Uncle Frannie was very comical and would make you laugh. But one memory I also remember when I was young and Uncle Frannie and his family lived in Vienna on Brown Mill Road. We hated going to his house. Not because he was mean or the family was mean because they weren’t. But Unc would always have us outside cleaning his yard. LOL! That yard was always immaculate and so was the inside. RIP Uncle Frannie, you will surely be missed and never forgotten. So thankful for the short time we got to reconnect.
