I am so sorry for your loss. I knew Erich from German classes at Fairfax County Public Schools Adult Education Program. I have never forgotten Erich’s kindness. My son was always interested in World War II history. Erich often gave me pamphlets to give my son, who not only read them, but was so impressed by the fact that someone who lived through this was giving him information! Erich’s acts of kindness will never be forgotten. May his memory be a blessing!

Erich was so kind to me when I first joined the PVSSC. When he learned I did not have a grooming table, he made me one. That was over 20+ years ago, and I still have it. Erich had a huge heart.

I was very sorry to learn of Erich's passing. He was a good friend to many and a wonderful member of Potomac Valley Standard Schnauzer Club. He will be missed by many.

I am very saddened to hear of Erich's passing -- have known him since the 1970s as he has been a long-time member of the Potomac Valley Standard Schnauzer Club. He was quite active until recently, attending meetings and social events, and always took home his share of awards for his dogs' accomplishments (see photo with PVSSC Awards Chair Gail Pfeiffer). Later, Erich owned two dogs from my breeding, Prince and Vickie. Prince was an AKC Champion and Erich trained him to his Utility Dog degree in Obedience. The PVSSC gave Erich a Birthday Party on his 90th. Here's a photo from that event. We had found an old photo of him dancing with a Mexican Senorita in a tiara, this probably in the early 1960s, and put it on the cake. This produced the expected amount of surprise and laughter. (That photo is posted here, as well) We will really miss him!

My sympathy to Erich's family. I was sorry to hear of his passing. I knew Erich from our days at Frying Pan Park with Dulles Gateway Dog Trng. Club. We were both members for years. He often was my instructor in those days. He was a very patient & caring instructor.
