Sorry for your loss Raja babai…I keep hearing your luv towards him from my uncles…though I do not have much interaction with him directly I keep hearing from my nana (Obulesu) and amma about Thathagaru..I missed meeting him in his last visit to India but saw all those pictures and felt happy…we all miss him

I've spent more than 10 years with Ramayya mama and family in his house(vanasthali puram) and pursued my graduation and PG. Mama used to call me with love and affection as Narasimha,Narasimha!
I will never forget lovable memories with mama. He is the main reason for who I am today.
My heartfelt condolences to Raja and Sai Krishna.
May his soul rest in peace.

Peda Ramaya Mama, as I used to call him, was such a pleasant person. He was a very simple, down to earth Mama, always easily approachable, with a warm heart and unassuming smile :-)
He was one of the very few uncles of that generation, who was very friendly. I never found him to be critical of people, a rare attribute in his peers !
I found him to be a well read and self-made man. I always saw him reading one book or the other. I think it was through books that he had improved his knowledge , stature, balance of approach and a broader purpose of life.
Together with Savithramma Athha, he performed such a gentle, wonderful and affectionate couple. I can subconsciously go back to my toddler days, when he used to carry me on his shoulders in King Koti in the early Sixties... It was such a pleasure going to and staying at his cosy little home at Vanasthalipuram (Hyderabad), in my youthful days.
Alas, time and distance had made me drift away from him; but I should have made an effort to spend at least some quality moments, once in a while :(
Be that as it may, I always have a fond remembrance of Ramayya mama, :) and my love and respect for him remain as bright as ever. I'm sure Raja and family will carry his legacy forward proudly.
