Paul has been my good friend and colleague for many years. His untimely death has had a shattering effect upon me. I am without words to match his generosity and kindness. I am in shock and don't want to believe he is gone. O Lord, our God, have mercy on him and grant him eternal rest in the bosom of your love. My condolences to the Morehead Family in this dark hour.

Nancy & Paul have been true friends. I grieve at the loss of my friend. God grant him peace and grant Nancy peace in the knowledge that soon we all will be together again. Santa Paul Showed faith in me and me getting through college. He cared about me getting it done and he encouraged me that i could do it. He was the only person from the car club that showed interest like that to my college and i love him for that and he will be missed forever. I will never let you done Santa Paul. Santa took great joy in sharing his wonderful attitude and his sense of humor with all of us. He loved seeing kids faces light up when they saw Santa and he took the time to talk to each child no matter what time of year it was. He will be missed by all of us, but somehow I do not think he is really gone, his spirit will be with us always.

I only met Paul once at the Santa luncheon last month. I could never forget his obvious enthusiasm and compassion for all. He will live forever in the hearts and memories of all those he has touched over the years.

I met Santa Paul at the Long Leaf Pine Santa Gathering in 2008. I was struck by his compassion and caring spirit and will never forget the tears welling up in his eyes as he spoke of his visits to Walter Reid. That has really stuck with me. Farewell, Brother Claus. May the God of comfort and peace be with Nancy and the family. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Nancy, please know that we will keep you and your family in our thoughts and prayers. Paul was a blessing to the world and to the Santa world, he gave always from his heart for being Santa is an honor and a privilege and Paul was the mark with which a lot of us looked up to being like. The sleigh ride has now come to an end and Paul has put down his bag and laid aside his boots, but his spirit is with you all each and everyday. The honor was ours to have been able to meet Paul and you Nancy, and to be able to call him my brother in Red. Thanks Paul for the memories and the chance to be the best Santa I can be. Nancy, our condolances go out to you and your family in the loss of a very special person and friend. I always considered Paul a special friend as one of the three Santa Paul's of Virginia. We always took time to seek each other out at gatherings and special events, and always took a special picture of the three of us. He will be dearly missed and his memory will always be with us at future events.
