Patricia T. Niesciur, age 93, of Reston, VA passed away in her home on Sunday February 20th, 2022.  She was born in Oak Park Illinois to William and Myrtle Tucker.  Pat left home to pursue a life of intrigue overseas while working for the State Department, where she met her beloved husband Dan (who preceded her in death).  They lived in and visited amazing destinations all over the world, but she fell in love with Thailand.  When they returned to the US to build their home and community in Reston, she meticulously decorated that home with decor that reminded her of her time abroad.   Pat was an avid member of the local tennis and bridge communities. If a tennis tournament or NFL game was on TV, you could bet she was watching.  However, her favorite things to watch were the foxes and birds right outside her back door for which she always had a treat.  She filled her life and heart with dogs and always donated generously to support animals in need.   She was a shining light to everyone she met, a generous host, and a dear friend to her wonderful community of neighbors.  Those neighbors that she loved gave so much back by bringing meals, helping her with shopping, and just coming over to visit to share in her caring spirit.   She adored her younger brother, Tom Tucker and was preceded in death by her beloved sister, Jean Wagner.   Her memory will be treasured by so many who lovingly knew her as Aunt Pat: nephew Bruce (departed) and Lisa Wagner with children, David, Mark, Emma, and Matt; nephew Steve and Karen Wagner with children, Anna and Lindsay;  nephew David Wagner with children, John David and Adam; niece Laurie Atkins with children, Emily, Donald, and Amy;  niece Stephanie Tucker and Patrick; nephew Mark and Shelley Tucker; and niece Linda Beyer and Gerald with their children Lisa, Laura, and Sarah. Her life will be celebrated in person or virtually at Adams Green Funeral Home in Herndon, VA on Saturday March 5th, 2pm.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in her name to the Humane Society of Fairfax County (https://hsfc.org).
