On Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at the age of 72, Lang Inn loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend passed peacefully at his home in Sterling, Virginia.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Roeuy Bos; his four children Lat, Nary, Manorom and Ponamy; two sons-in-law Matt and Chris; two daughters-in-law Luanne and Linda; four granddaughters Asia, Rivanna, Juliette and Rosalie; brother Saloeu In of Newport News, Virginia; sister Sok In of Siem Reap, Cambodia and many family members across the world. 

Lang was born on May 3, 1949 in Samrong, Cambodia to parents Seng In and Ung Ok. He was the youngest of eight children. Lang and Roeuy married in March 1969 and started their family shortly thereafter.

In the mid-70s, Lang fought heroically in the Cambodian Army against the Khmer Rouge genocide. He was forced to flee to Thailand, separated from his family for several years. In Thailand, he secured safe passage for his family, but had to make the arduous journey back to Cambodia to locate and rescue them. They successfully returned to Thailand and waited in a refugee camp for several years before being granted asylum to the United States. Lang and his family arrived March 1980 with the help of Mr. Soeum Ok.

The Inn family planted their roots in Leesburg, Virginia prior to moving to Sterling, Virginia in 1988, where they continue to call home. Although his Cambodian heritage is forever unwavering, Lang was exceptionally proud to become a U.S. citizen in November 2007. The honor and loyalty he had for his Cambodian American heritage remains evident in the two flags raised in front of his home.

Lang retired as a machinist in the Summer of 2014. He had a love for gardening, fishing, and being outdoors with his pets. Lang was always the life of the party. He was first on the dance floor, first on the mic at every celebration, and enjoyed being with family and friends. He never hesitated to befriend someone, and his welcoming arms were always open to everyone he met.

Our father, husband, and friend lived a selfless life supporting and giving to others in any way possible. He was a long-term member and volunteer of the Cambodian Buddhist Society Inc in Silver Spring, Maryland where he continuously found comfort and strength in his faith. He will be forever missed, but we find peace and solace in his memory and the thought that he is dancing and singing until the day we are reunited.
