Rick, aka “Sterno”, was a big man with a big brain and a big heart. He didn’t do things halfway. I am saddened that I won’t have the chance to tell him how much I appreciate all he did for my career, what a good boss he was, and how much I enjoyed his company, intelligence and wit. My sympathies to Joyce and his girls.

My condolences to the family. Rick was my upper manager in Geneva. He knew how to enjoy and have fun in work environment. We experienced his hospitality when visiting our US office. Miss these times.

Rick will be missed, he always lit up the room. His intellegence and understanding of people made him great to work with in developing products. Always good for a chuckle, he could reduce tension in a snap. Miss you man..

Elaine and I are heartbroken at the death of our dear friend, Rick Sternitzke. He was a loving husband to Joyce and father to his girls Mary Kate and Anna. He was smart, kind and the type of friend to whom you could always turn for support. An excellent businessman and charismatic leader, Rick will be missed by family, friends and colleagues. There are so many people who benefited from Rick’s advice and example. We miss you, dear friend, but you will always live in our hearts.

Very sorry to hear about Rick’s passing, still young. He was my boss at Swisscom and he had the most important skill of a manager - kindness - and also integrated us divergent odd guys (Asperger etc.). Condolences to his nearest
