Thoughts and prayers for the Renton family. It has been quite some time since I was at Gannon University attending classes with Rosemary and Linda. I remember visiting “the homestead” on Zimmerman Road several times and feeling welcomed and comfortable by Mr. and Mrs. Renton. Keep a watchful eye on us mere mortals. Sincerely, Vance L. I first met Mr. Renton when I was in kindergarten with Rosemary. He always reminded me of Mr. Green Jeans from Captain Kangaroo! (Come on, am I the only one who sees the similarities?)
He always called our homework, “nightwork.”
When I would sneak into bars when I was under age, I always knew who to be on the lookout for (but never bumped into him).
My deepest sympathies to Mrs. Renton and all the girls and your families. I know this is a very sad time for you all. He was a wonderful man of integrity and dedication to his family. I pray you all find peace and comfort as the dust settles from the emotional roller coaster you’ve all been on recently.
I wish I could be with you to celebrate his life. I am thinking of you all.

I'm so sorry to hear of your dad's passing. What a full life he led with such a beautiful family.
I remember when he picked up all the neighbor kids in the summer in the school bus and took us all for ice cream before the school year started.
