Anthony Ara Moaf, 25, of Herndon, VA passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 18, 2022.  His family and his friends are shocked and heartbroken by the news of his passing. 

Anthony was born on July 26, 1996 in Fairfax, Virginia. He is survived by his parents Mohsen and Jacqueline Moaf of Herndon, Virginia. Also, survived by his sister Sara Doucet of South Riding, Virginia, his brother Bryan Moaf and Kaily (Weiss) Moaf of Johnson City, Tennessee, and his nephew and niece, Benjamin and Bella Doucet of South Riding, Virginia.

He was a troubled sole with a big beautiful heart.  Anthony always cared deeply for those to whom he was close to. Anthony loved and enjoyed his family and had a special place in his heart for animals. He had two family dogs, Basia and Marley, both were saved by him from an animal shelter.  He had a pet snake as well. Anthony worked hard, but he loved to unwind by playing video games, watching Netflix, or spending time in the outdoors and with nature.

Anthony was baptized on April 19, 2015 along with giving a public profession of the Christian faith. Although flawed, like the rest of us, Anthony always had a place in his heart and his life for God. Some of his family’s fondest memories of Anthony involve his faith, attending Church together, and having deep conversations alongside and with Anthony. 

Anthony always aspired to continue his education after he completed his GED in 2013. He went on to begin some college in the field of Information Technology and studied various topics of interest through self-study. Anthony worked in retail, sales management, and customer service and had some small experience working in construction through helping his father, Mohsen, with his family business.

Funeral Service will be held at Adams-Green Funeral Home, 721 Elden Street, Herndon, VA 20170, on Thursday, May 26, 2022 at 3:00pm.
