Mr. Dillon, I didn’t know you very well but I knew enough from the stories Mrs. Dillon told me on the bus. I felt like I knew you forever.
When she asked me to spend my our midday break with her so I could go home to meet you I couldn’t say no. I had a great time with you two that day and I enjoyed myself every time I came to visit that day.
I am grateful that God put Mrs. Dillon on my bus. I guess I should say I am grateful God placed me with Mrs. Dillon. Through her I was able to meet a sweet man who I cared deeply about.

Grandpa,
You were such an amazing grandpa! You accepted me into your family with open arms 20 years ago and never made me feel any different, you treated all your grandkids the same. You're stories of things you experienced through your life were some of the best stories. I will never forget when grandma, Garrett, you, and myself drove from Virginia to New Hampshire and we either listened to nothing, classical music, or the news channel the whole way there. That was my first experience of traveling long distance and I wouldn't have wanted to do it with anyone else but you. Your presence on family functions and holidays will truly be missed and we will have to figure out who does our prayers but your spirit will always make its presence. We will make sure grandma is well taken care of because you did that best. They say that earth is just a temporary stop but heaven is where you live for eternity. Love you so much, please continue to watch over us. ❤

Dick was a true friend to us and we enjoyed his sense of humor. He always talked about how important his children were to him and enjoyed the special times with his grandchildren, especially at the ballparks.
