David and the rest of the Harrison family,
So sorry to hear about Mrs. Harrison's passing. I remember her fondly working along side Mr. Harrison at the garage and then working with her at many church dinners. I miss the ole' Dranesville days! May she rest in peace. GOD bless you all. Rebecca

I have many good memories of Aunt Evelyn Harrison. I have lived in Florida most of my life but I tried to come home to Virginia where all my relatives lived every summer for a week or two. Every time I came home, I could count on Aunt Evelyn and Uncle Walter coming to my parents home to visit with me. We often would see each other at the Dranesville UMChurch, the Jenkins family Reunions and the Herndon High School summer picnic reunions. A few times I was able to come home for Thanksgiving or Christmas and it was always fun to visit with Aunt Evelyn and Uncle Walter too. The Sweetest memory I have is that Aunt Evelyn and Uncle Walter met me at {I think} the Washington DC airport when my Beloved Mother died and took me to be with my Dad before my Mother's funeral. On a great fun memory, I remember my husband Bill and I driving to Virginia and attending Aunt Evelyn and Uncle Walter's 50th Golden Wedding Anniversary. Thay Waltzed around the floor like Professional Ballroon Dancers. In recent years, our communication was by telephone rather then travel yet rewarding to us sharing family news. During our most recent phone conversation, Aunt Evelyn called me to ask me about a mistake I may have made. She was so alert, appreciative and encourageing to me. I had mailed her card to my Cousin and my Cousins card went to her. She was very helpful and kind to me.I will miss Aunt Evelyn,s laughter and sharing our family Memories. Our Sincere Condolences to David, Roger and all family members.Rest in Peace Aunt Evelyn. Love from Carol Lee and Bill Billups

Dear Harrison Family,
Bill and I offer our heartfelt condolences on the passing of your beloved Evelyn. We had the incredible pleasure to know her and Walter for many years, when they were members of the Colvin Run Citizens Association and helped to run the dances and to do the many chores associated with the arrangements for those dances, as well as to take care of the building and the grounds. We are all indebted to Walter and Evelyn for helping to preserve our beautiful historic Colvin Run Dance Hall in Great Falls, so that even today, it is being cherished and preserved by another generation of board members. Walter served on the Board of Directors and was President for several years and Evelyn was right there keeping him in tow! She was an incredible worker and kept everything in order. We especially miss their wonderful sense of humor and bantering.
With love,
Biill and Jean Rosenbluth

David and the entire Harrison family. I'm lost for words! Your mother/grandmother/great grandmother was one of the dearest people I've known. Always had time to chat, whenever I saw her and always cared about how my mother was doing. We had some great talks about old Herndon.
She was one of a kind.
She's now with her dear husband for eternity!
Know that you all are in my thoughts and prayers!!
