Cathy wrote down a recipe on the back of an envelope for me back in the '70's for these amazing cookies she made around Christmas. She called them Pecan Sandies. I still have the recipe and pull it out every Christmas since. At the end, she commands "Pig out!" I have missed her contagious spirit over all the years since knowing her in Charlottesville, VA. And I have carried her with me to this day. And always.
