Jaswant Kaur Mutneja was born on February 10, 1934 to parents Nidhan Singh Raheja and Dayal Kaur near Lahore Pakistan in a small village called Patto Ki Mandi. Sister Jaswant Kaur Ji left us for the heavenly abode on June 21, 2022. She was married to late Kashmir Singh Mutneja.

She will always be remembered as a mother-like figure to the Raheja family. Her selflessness and loving nature was one of her memorable qualities. She always sought for everyone’s best interest and success. With her immense knowledge of Gurbani, she would be either listening to Gurbani, reciting path and telling her Sikh tales “Saakhi’s”. Her spiritual nature and teachings encouraged us to be a good human being and closer to Sikhi.

In all aspects of her life, betterment of the family was always at the core.  She was the second eldest of nine siblings.  Her personality in many ways made big differences in our lives without us even knowing. Her intuition to believe in our success, her inner-strength and positive attitude not only brought everyone closer, but also allowed us to stay focused and determined. No matter what time of the day it was, Sister Jaswant Kaur Ji always had a smile on her face and her positivity in life was, and always will be, an inspiration. Her infectious smile and laugh will be a part of our memories.

Sister Jaswant Kaur Ji’s life will be cherished forever and her unconditional love will be remembered in every member of her family she leaves behind – brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and her son. When we pray, we will always know she is watching over us, guiding us as she has done for many years. We love you Sister Jaswant Kaur Ji and you will be missed dearly at every moment of our lives.

The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks and deep gratitude for all expressions of sympathy and acts of kindness shown during this time of bereavement.
