Obituary of Albina Ellen Forrest
Albina Ellen Forrest, of Stanardsville, Virginia, passed on peacefully the evening of July 13, 2022, from heart failure. Born on July 31, 1939, to Joseph and Mary Kasulaitis in the Lithuanian community of Brooklyn, New York, she learned English in kindergarten and graduated from Franklin K. Lane High School in 1956. She enjoyed the challenges of working as a legal secretary in New York City, before marrying Kent Forrest in 1966 and raising their son, Christopher. Later, in Millburn, New Jersey, she was an active volunteer and joined the staff of the Millburn Township school library system. Upon retirement she and Kent moved to Stanardsville, Virginia, where she enjoyed the quiet, peaceful setting. A lover of puzzles, puns, the theater and good food, she is remembered by her family for her gentle humor, caring nature and lifelong sense of curiosity. She was buried in Chestnut Grove Cemetery in Herndon, Virginia, in a private family service and is survived by her husband Kent, son Christopher, and grandsons Jonathan, William and Henry.
In lieu of flowers, her family requests donations to her favorite charity, The Blue Ridge Area Food Bank.
