Please share a memory of Andy to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

George Andrew Gould, 91, passed away on Saturday, September 3, 2022, peacefully at his home in Southport, NC.  Andy was born May 23, 1931, in Stonington, CT.

He is survived by his beautiful wife, of 69 years, Hilda; his sons Alan (Rita), Kenny (Kim) and his daughter Gloria (Jim).  Andy has 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Andy was a veteran of the United States Navy. Beginning in 1948, Andy served for six years aboard the USS Albany CA-123, an Oregon City Class heavy cruiser.  His career in the Navy was something that he would often fondly remember and we were delighted to hear some great stories about his military service.

Andy was devoted to his wife, family and faith.  He and Hilda were active members of Ox Hill Baptist Church for 52 years. Many people remember Andy for his smile and willingness to help when needed.

Services will be held at Ox Hill Baptist Church in Chantilly, on Saturday, September 17, 2022; visitation begins at 10am and the service begins at 11am; burial will be at Fairfax Memorial Park in Fairfax at 2 pm. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Ox Hill Baptist Church-Silver Threads Group.
