Patricia A Meline, 86, of Herndon, Virginia passed away peacefully in her sleep on September 17, 2022 at her home.

Born March 12, 1936 in London, England she was the daughter of the late James Frost and Violet Margaret Frost. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother Anthony Frost, her sisters Molly Frost and Angela Bellord, son Chris Meline and husband James Meline IV.

She was a long time employee of the Fairfax County Dept. of Human Services where she devoted herself to serving her community and was the recipient of a Humanitarian Award from the Lions of Virginia Foundation in September 2000. She loved to travel, often visiting family in England and France and spoke frequently about her beloved trip to the Grand Canyon. She was an avid reader and could identify just about every bird in North America. She loved spending time with her family and friends; celebrating every holiday right down to the silly ones. She was an amazing story teller and had a knack for striking up conversation with just about anybody, who in turn couldn't help but fall in love with her charisma and wit. She loved to cook, and care for the many animals she owned throughout the years, she also had a deep sense of appreciation for the performing arts and cherished her many trips to the Kennedy Center. She fondly went by the name "Grannie" and will always be remembered as the English lady with the best stories, a sharp sense of humor and absolute adoration for her family, friends and West Ham United football.

She is survived by her sons Jamie of Sterling, Tim (Lynda) of Berryville, Chuck (Kelly) of Herndon, daughters Bernie (Al) of Herndon and Kate (Chris) of Herndon. Her sister Bernadette Palmer (Martin) of Portsmouth, England, and many cousins, nieces,nephews, grandchildren Jacqueline, Gabby, Danielle, Melanie, James, Aimee, Kyle and Charlie, great grandchildren Daisy, Vera, Logan and Madalyn.

On Sunday, September 25 2022 at Adams Green Funeral Home visitation will be held from 11-1 with the service to immediately follow at 1pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to any of the following causes below:

- Cerebral Palsy Foundation

- National Multiple Sclerosis

- St. Judes Children's Research Hospital

- WETA
