Obituary of Esther Spierto

Esther Spierto, 92, of Leesburg, VA passed away on October 7, 2022

Esther was born in New York, NY to Sebastiano and Carmela Russo on August 28, 1930.  She is predeceased by her beloved husband Anthony of 67 years.  Her family was her whole life and she was a devoted wife and mother.  She kept an immaculate house and was an amazing cook, always making the absolute best meals for her family, even after working her office job all day. She held various administrative positions and retired as a payroll processing manager from Holmes Transportation in 1990.

Esther lived in Massachusetts from 1963 until 2018 when she moved to Virginia to be near family.

She leaves her son Charles and his wife Theresa of Ashburn, VA, daughter Susanne and her husband Michael of Charles Town, WV.  Her grandchildren are Robert Spierto and his wife Michelle of Austin, TX, Stephen Spierto and his wife Laura of Reston, VA, Michael Spierto and his fiancé Lauren of Herndon, VA, Katherine Schmidt and her husband Benjamin of Westerville, OH, and Brian Lynch and his girlfriend Anne of Tucson, AZ.  Her 2 great grandchildren are Isla and Lily Spierto of Reston, VA.

The family will receive friends from 9:45 am until 10:30 am on Friday, October 14, 2022 at St. Theresa Catholic Church, 21370 St Theresa Ln, Ashburn, VA 20147. A funeral mass will begin at 10:30 am, with burial to follow at Quantico National Cemetery, Triangle, VA at 1:30pm.
