Obituary of Margaret Teresa Mullany

Margaret Teresa Mullany, of Great Falls, VA, passed away peacefully on November 2, 2022 at the age of 93.  Margaret was born in Brooklyn, New York on September 26, 1929 to Gaetanto Thomas Taranto and Anastacia Slattery.  Margaret studied nursing at St John's College in New York where she earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing.  She worked many years as a Nurse and had a passion for helping others, both in her professional life as well as her personal life.  

In 1955, she married Kevin Mullany and they had 5 children.  She was a loving wife and a devoted mother who always took great care of her family.  She was an active member of the Catholic Church, and she loved reading, traveling, crocheting, flower arranging and gardening. She especially loved spending time with her family and friends, and also found great joy in being a wonderful grandmother to her grandchildren.  

Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Kevin Mullany Sr and her son John Mullany.  She is survived by her four children; sons, Kevin Mullany, Jr, Thomas Mullany and Robert Mullany, her daughter, Maribeth Kenney, and her 6 grandchildren: Connor, Michelle, Jessica, Matthew, Sean and Dylan.
