I wish I had been able to post this sooner, but unfortunately, I just found out about Martin's passing...
Martin gave me my first job out of college in 1998 and I worked for him straight through until his retirement. He was a great teacher and mentor and I would not be the person I am today without his tutelage and inspiration.
I wish I could have been there to pay my last respects to him.

Martin and I met at the University of Notre Dame in the autumn of 1963. It was to be a meeting that sparked a 60-year friendship that brought joy, learning and fulfillment to both of us. Our in-person visits during those years were actually somewhat rare but always greatly enjoyed and appreciated. We anxiously awaited our shared Christmas greetings each year with news our travels, families, personal and professional growth. We always seemed up to date on happenings with Martin's family in Michigan, Maureeen's career and community activities and events as Mike and Jim formed their careers and families. Martin and I would share high points of our own individual architectural practices and even crow a little about our various project successes. However, the real crowing didn't start until the advent of grandchildren in the Reddy family!
Martin was a kind and loving individual; he held high standards for himself and for those he knew and loved. I will always remember his kindness and love. He was a pretty remarkable guy!

We will never forget Marty Reddy, who was more than a friend or classmate to all of us at University of Detroit Jesuit high school. He was our role model. I can’t remember an unkind word from Marty Reddy. He was always there for us. His hard work ethic and character showed us the way. My heartfelt condolences go to his family. John Bertoni Class of 63
