Obituary of Noel Rogan Newell

Noel Rogan Newell, age 82, died on July 1, 2008 at her home in Reston, VA. She was born on December 25, 1925 in New Orleans, LA to the late Frank U. and Lucille McLain Rogan. Noel was the beloved wife of 62 years of Robert Y. Newell, III, loving and devoted mother of Robert Y. Newell, IV and his wife, Ethel of Portola Valley, CA, Noel Newell Smith of Bethlehem, PA, Rebecca Newell Briggs and her husband Malcolm Briggs, of Bethlehem, PA, David Rogan Newell and his wife Debra of Fairfax, VA, William Luckett Newell and his wife, Melinda of Ellicott City, MD and Paul Rogan Newell and his wife, Beverly of Richmond, VA, proud grandmother of 19 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Noel devoted her life to her family and supported many charities designed to benefit children and those less fortunate. A memorial service will be held on Monday, July 7 th at 3pm at St. Anne's Episcopal Church, 1700 Wainwright Drive, Reston, VA.
