Fe S. Jose

August 1, 1932 - January 25, 2023

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Fe S. Jose, of 601 E. Charlotte St., Sterling, Virginia. She passed away 12:04 AM on Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at the age of 90.

Fe P. Sicat was born on August 1, 1932 in Lubao, Pampanga, Philippines. She is second to the eldest child among nine siblings of Justino Sicat and Felisa Punsalang. She studied at St. Mary's Academy, graduated in Grade 6 there during the Japanese regime. She went to Manila after graduation and studied at La Consolacion College in Mendiola where she finished high school.

She received her Elementary Teacher's Certificate at the National Teachers College. Fe was a teacher for several years in Pampanga and later worked at San Lazaro Hospital doing laboratory research. She trained the first batch of med tech interns from the University of Santo Tomas. She was one of the top when she took the first board examination given by the Civil Service Commission. Then she was offered a job in Philippine General Hospital but she declined due to her dedication and commitment to her work in the San Lazaro Hospital. She worked at San Lazaro Hospital for 36 years and retired as a Medical Technician. In the United States, she stayed in New York, California and Virginia.

Fe was predeceased by her loving husband of 43 years, Dr. Benjamin S. Jose. She will be lovingly remembered by her children: Gil (Leony), Luz (Edwin), Dan (Leah - predeceased) and Mel (Teresa); grandchildren: Lizette, Gary, Daryl (Maelisa), Michelle, Francis, Jaclyn, Dustin, Dylan, and Darin; great grandchild: Gio. Fe will also be lovingly remembered by her siblings, relatives and friends.

Our mother is strict, a disciplinarian and always put the needs of her family before her own. She is also a woman of strong faith and eats healthy that is why she does not  take any maintenance medicine up to the time of her death.

Mommy, you will always be in our hearts and we will never forget you. We love you so much. Rest in peace.
