When she was just 17, my cousin Mary Beth came east to start her adult life. Her mother had just died after a long and debilitating illness during which the teenage Mary Beth had been her primary caregiver. Her father had passed when she was just 7. Left on her own at such a young age, Mary Beth was strong, independent, and determined to forge her own path forward. She created a joy filled life and a beautiful family. May her enduring and resilient spirit live on through her family and through all those she touched. Her life is an inspiration for us.
