Obituary of Barbara Ann Thompson

Barbara Ann Schwartz Thompson, age 94, of Reston, Virginia, formerly of Annapolis, Maryland, passed away peacefully in her sleep on February 4th, 2023. Ms. Thompson was the daughter of the late Max C. Schwartz, A realtor well known in the Washington, Annapolis, and Deale Maryland areas.  Born in New York City, she moved with her family to Washington, DC at the age of two. She was a graduate of Roosevelt Senior High School in Northwest Washington, DC. She had a long career as a legal secretary and administrator, as well as with Reston physical education associations. She was well known for her love and knowledge of Persian cats and was often referred to as the "Cat Lady". Her loving husband, Kenneth Leo Thompson, (USMC, Ret.) passed away in 1969. Interment will be at Arlington National cemetery at a later date.
