Jane Lee Wong was born on January 2, 1928, in Astoria Oregon.

Jane grew up on a mink farm as one of six children. Her mother passed away when Jane was nine years old, a tragic loss for the Lee family.

Jane decided to go to college and worked in a Chinese restaurant to pay her own way, studying political science, first at Oregon State, then at Cal Berkeley. She met her future husband, Richard Wong, at a mixer in San Francisco.

Married to Richard for 37 years, Jane and her husband raised two children, Brian and Craig, in Palo Alto, California, in Bowie, Maryland, and then in Reston, Virginia.

Jane enjoyed dining out, regularly “doing lunch” with her niece, Barbara, and daughter-in-law, Judy.

She was the author of a political satire comic book called State of the Union.

Jane was heavily involved in the Reston government. She served as an elected Director in the Reston Citizens Association. A firm believer in good government, she had ceaseless energy, devotion to her tasks, and true allegiance to the causes and purposes of her community.

She is survived by her sons, her grandchildren Kai, Samantha and Kaitlin, and her great grandchild Gus.
