We are profoundly saddened by the sudden departure of our beloved relative Éva. Her smile, affection, humor, energy, zest for life, her joy to make others happy, her vivid interest in everything, her pure friendship will remain engraved in our hearts. Despite the distance between our families, we always felt a strong bond and enjoyed every opportunity to meet and hear from each other. I have fond memories of my visits to Reston at the age of 16 and 23, and her visits in Budapest and Greece with Steve and the girls, but also alone. We will miss dearly her warm friendship for the time that is left behind, but trust that she is just a step away, silently comforting us: have no fear, cherish each breath and step, walk, dance, and sing - we will meet again one day.
We send all our love, empathy, affection to Steve, Katherine, Elizabeth, the grand-children and close relatives.

I am deeply shocked and saddened to hear of the sudden loss of Eva. My heart goes out to Steve, and to all the family on this terrible tragedy and for all that she and you battled. It is deeply disturbing what happened.
I knew Eva for several decades. She was one of the kindest, gentlest people I ever met.
She will be deeply missed.
Steve's obituary was beautiful and encapsulated a most beautiful and exceptional life.
May God send all of you strength and comfort during this terrible time.

It is do hard to say goodbye, Eva. I particularly cherish our conversations over dinner table at my place and yours; your superb Hungarian cuisine; and our chitchat in the kitchen while you were helping me clean up and put out the dessert.
Can hardly believe I will not be able to give you my fruit cake and for me to receive your Godiva chocolates at Xmas time... Those were good times indeed.

I am so happy that I got to know you all later in Eva's life. Our mums were best friends from early childhood days in Budapest and therefore had a special bond. Meeting Elizabeth and Keiran and getting to spend time with them and know them has been wonderful and always a pleasure to be with Eva and family, in Delaware or London! Eva was always so warm and welcoming and she will be greatly missed by many. My love goes out to all her family and friends.

I am so sorry to hear of Eva's passing. My condolences to all her family. I hope you find comfort in knowing Eva had an impact on the people she met and will be fondly remembered. We knew each other from the various International Folk Dance groups and from attending various Hungarian cultural events in the MDV area. Eva was a great dancer; she often remembered dances that had long slipped from my memory. Eva was also great friend and a patient listener, especially when I attempted to speak Hungarian. I hope that Eva will live on in those who remember her.

I loved Eva's compassion for those less fortunate. One day we visited a young Latino ex gang member who got a full scholarship to Duke. Eva was very impressed and praised him on the way back home.
She had a tough early life and worked hard and accomplished her goal of getting a Phd. I was very fortunate to know her.
