June Iris Becker

June Iris Becker passed away peacefully in her sleep on February 24, 2023. Born on July 14, 1935 in Brooklyn NY, she is the last child to pass on from Thomas and Anna D'Emic (as well as her beloved step-mother Florence D'Emic). 

Preceded in death by her husband, Charles Henry Becker, she is survived by her four children Elizabeth Nicole (Mark) Shaffer, Amy (Scott) Becker, Valerie (Robert) Rukstalis Williams along with their four children, Hunter Stewart Williams, Tanner Michael Williams, Drew Thomas Williams, and Hudson Becker Rukstalis-Williams, and Charles (Anna) Becker along with their two children Amanda Taryn Becker and Charles Nicholas Becker. Additionally, she is survived by numerous nieces and nephews living in both New York and Florida. 

June was a loving mother as well as a wonderful artist and creative thinker. She loved learning and started as a teacher before taking time to raise her children.

She was also a passionate animal lover and had a deep connection with her dogs throughout her life that included operating Sunnymede Collies, active participation in the Mason-Dixon Collie Club, and providing companion dog support for seniors. We are grateful that her dog Chloe was with her through her final days.

The funeral service is March 10, 2023 at 11:00 am at the Chapel in Adams-Green Funeral Home & Crematory at 721 Elden Street, Herndon, Virginia 20170. We will carry her memory in our hearts forever.
