It was a beautiful day when our family met Heidi. Our lives were enriched and blessed by our friendship with her. My children loved hearing her stories and thought of her as another grandmother. Three of my children learned German in school and Heidi would praise them for their good pronunciation. Heidi shared many traditions with us, shared her love of music with us and shared her heart with us. We love you Heidi! Until we meet again, Heidi, wait for us in God’s loving arms..

I remember Heidi and her love of travel. She has been to many countries on five continents. We have taken many trips together and shared a lot of good times! On future trips, I know I will think of Heidi!

I'll never forget when as a young boy Heidi would come to my rescue. Even though I was faced with food I deemed inedible, I was forced to finish all that was on my plate, and not permitted to leave the table until I had done so. Heidi saved the day more than once by eating whatever it was I couldn't. Stealing bites while no one was looking. That's just one of too many fond memories to count.
