Miguel, You were a great person and a wonderful school mate, at Colegio Padre Fortin, where we graduated in 1982. Always admired your warm smile that inspired everyone around. You had such a positive and cheerful attitude towards life. One of the memories I have from you is, when we played basketball together, you were so fast and agile that it was impossible to guard you. You always scored amazing shots and made the game fun for everyone. You were a true team player and a loyal friend.
I appreciated very much to see you again last year, for the 40th anniversary school graduation meeting in the Dominican Republic,
All your colleagues will miss you dearly.

It has been our privilege and joy to know Miguel and Virna since their time at UAB. They are one of the most loving couples we know - so devoted to each other and their children and their families. Miguel was kind, compassionate, dedicated, and fun. He will be greatly missed.

I met Miguel once, it was at Caridads home, a home we once shared. He was strong, friendly, and kind hearted. Our meeting was brief, but because heard so many stories of his childhood from Caridad I felt like knew him all his life. The news of his passing hit me hard as I am close to the Family. One day I walked into the office, where we worked together and, as I opened the door I hear Miguel arguing with my husband.
He had noticed that my husband wasn’t treating me correctly, and he was letting him have it, Miguel passed and I never told him that I overheard that conversation, I never thanked him for defending and supporting me

Met Miguel back in 1980 when I was admitted mid year in Padre Fortín School (were he has been a student since Kindergarten) and he was the first person to welcome me and introduced me to the rest of the 53 students in the room, one by one!
Will never forget his bright and sincere smile and passive, lay back funny personality but always ready to help others, great friend and "straight forward shooter"... cannot talk nonsense with him! Last time I saw him was last year in our 40th anniversary reunion, same guy, same smile. Same big heart. Will miss him dearly.
