Obituary of Dilipkumar Nanubhai Desai

Dilipkumar Desai, a cherished husband, father, Bapa (Grandfather), brother, colleague, and friend passed away peacefully on May 16, 2023. He was surrounded by his loving family.

Dilipkumar, the son of Late Nanubhai Ranchhod Desai and Late Gajaraben Desai, was born on July 1, 1946 in Mota Varachha, Surat, Gujarat, India. He grew up in Khargon, Khandwa, and Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India where he completed his primary and secondary education. Post-graduation, he worked at Amul Dairy, Anand, Gujarat holding various positions throughout his career starting from floor engineer and retiring as the Engineer in the Purchasing Department. While working at Amul Dairy and living in Anand, he formed many relationships that continue till date. He continued to work at Amul Dairy until he made a life changing decision putting his family first by shifting to the United States and starting all over again in April of 2001.

Dilipkumar was the most loving and dedicated person to his wife, daughters, son, son-in-laws, daughter-in-law, grandchildren, siblings, parents, family, and colleagues. He had a friendly and warm personality, and his smile was contagious. Those who knew him personally respected his honesty, loyalty, helpful nature, and humble demeanor.

Dilipkumar always loved to spend time with his family and did everything in his power to put his family first. He loved keeping in touch with family and friends back home through the countless phone calls, WhatsApp calls, messages, and voice notes. He enjoyed watching cricket matches, spiritual shows, and of course, his news channels.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, May 21, 2023, at 2pm at Adams-Green Funeral Home, 721 Elden Street, Herndon, VA.
