Dear Tom and Children, My sister, Helene, has been keeping me up to date on Valerie's condition and long suffering. I am so very, very sorry to hear about her death. She really put up a good fight all these years and you must feel so proud of her. Keep the memories of Valerie close to your hearts and talk about her often. Please know that I am thinking about you all and will pray for the recovery of your broken hearts on losing your wife and mother. To Alan, Audrey and Robert, I am thinking of you too--it is so hard to lose a sibling, and it shakes the foundation of our families. In your own experiences with loss, you really helped us with ours and we remember. We are all connected... My deepest sympathies to all. Love, Chris
