Obituary of Alexis Brannen Grubb
Alexis Brannen Grubb, 06/12/2002 – 07/11/2023, Herndon
Born in Richmond Virginia to Lisa and Chris Grubb.
Alexis was the light of the room - anywhere she went, everyone gravitated towards her. She possessed a contagious vibe that would make everyone feel comfortable, and held no limit to her love for people.
Alexis became a mother in 2022 to her perfect son, Jeremiah. He was her world and everything in this world revolved around him and his happiness. He will forever be her greatest blessing and accomplishment. There was nothing she was more proud of than him.
Alexis was an amazing artist and used her artistic ability to show love to those around her. Her love language was gift giving and would always make sure to think of people and have something that would make them happy. If she knew your favorite soda, she’d get it- if she knew you liked her art, she would paint you the most beautiful portrait.
Alexis was smart, funny, loving, and kind to a fault. But no matter what, if she cared about you, she had a way of making sure you knew. She was truly one of a kind.
Alexis is survived by her mother and father; her amazing son Jeremiah Hembry and his father Demarquise Hembry – Miles, Leesburg, VA; her loving grandparents Johnny and Linda Grubb, Chester, VA, her sister and best friend Candace Helbert and partner Kevin Miyashiro, Sterling, VA, her brother Drew Helbert and partner Courtney Froemming, Reston, VA, her sister Peyton Grubb, Richmond, VA; two nephews – Malachi Cash and Liam Helbert; two nieces Madison Cash and Layden Helbert; best friend and family friend Sierra Chris; Jeremiah’s grandmother Meka Hembry, Leesburg, VA; She is preceded in death by her cousin Conner Grubb, Chester, VA.
Contributions to honor Alexis' life may be made to a trust fund being established for Alexis' son Jeremiah, 15 month old. She would want nothing more than to know her son's future is secure. Contributions may be made via Zelle to Sharon Grubb, 571-405-1088, CashApp to $LisaGrubb00 or Venmo to Lisa-Grubb-13. All contributions will be used to create the trust for Jeremiah.
